The 31-year-old woman had been waiting for her boyfriend to come home to watch their one-year-old son, so she could go visit her sister, police said.
When he didn’t arrive at home, she did a search of his phone and found it was at the Starbucks in the Fairfield University Bookstore, police said.
When she got there she found the boyfriend had gone there to meet a female friend from college, police said.
The boyfriend and his friend were parked in his car when the woman began banging on the window and standing behind the car to block it from backing out of the parking space, police said.
The woman told police she was afraid her boyfriend would run her over so she began banging on the rear window with her closed fist, breaking it, police said.
She was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and was expected in court on Monday.
The window was valued at $400 to $500.
